The advantages of a raid in the Peloponnese
Beautiful loops of tracks and landscapes between sea and mountains in the northwest of the Peloponnese.
The archaeological site of Olympia, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the place where the Olympic Games were held for the very first time.
The Temple of Apollo Epicurius, famous for its unique architecture blending Doric, Ionic and Corinthian styles, and for its isolation in a wild mountainous landscape.
A very generous amount of tracks through breathtaking scenery.
A raid on open roads
This raid is organised for the pleasure of driving and discovering the beauty of the Peloponnese through its tracks.
This raid is not a rally, and the tracks are open to all vehicles. Therefore, for your safety, there is no need to compete, as you may encounter hunters, cars, shepherds/animals, and most importantly, ravines.
You must of course slow down in villages and near residential areas, and respect the highway code.
Maintain a courteous attitude towards local residents.
No alcoholic beverages are allowed during the raid day.
Anyone who decides to consume alcohol is solely responsible for themselves, and the TRUST SERVICES organisation assumes no responsibility for it.

Day 2: Ksilokastro–Tarsos–Feneos–Goura–Mount Ziria–Ksilokastro
Departure for a mountain loop with some beautiful sections around Mount Ziria.
Optional: A short stop to see a hidden chapel in the Corinthian Meteora. According to tradition, the chapel of the “Virgin Mary of the Rock” was founded by a young woman from the village of Tarsos, who miraculously survived the fall of the village to Mehmed II in 1458. When Mehmed II took the castle of Tarsos, he forced the besieged to surrender. Many surrendered, others were murdered or taken prisoner, and a few managed to escape. But there was a young mother with a baby in her arms who was thrown off the cliff with him. Miraculously, after calling on the Virgin Mary for help, the woman was found safe and sound at the foot of the cliff. She later turned the crack above her head into an improvised church dedicated to the Grace of the Virgin Mary.
Afterwards, we will head to the village of Feneos and to our lunch restaurant.
Then, via superb tracks, descent to the coast and to our hotel in Ksilokastro. Dinner and overnight at the same hotel.
Day 3: Ksilokastro–Lake Feneos–Lake Tsivlou–Kalavryta
Departure towards the mountains, with stops at Lake Feneos and Lake Tsivlou, to reach Kalavryta. Kalavryta is a lovely mountain village located in a magnificent setting. It appears very peaceful, yet bears the scars of a tragic event that occurred on December 13, 1943. In response to the death of 81 Nazi soldiers killed by resistance fighters, Nazi troops carried out a massacre in the village. They coldly executed all the male villagers over the age of 12. A total of 1,436 people died that day. Only 13 men miraculously survived.
Check-in at the Canyon Kalavryta hotel. Our dinner will take place in a very good restaurant in the village, near the hotel.
Day 4: Kalavryta–Rakita–Salmeniko–Mount Panachaiko–Kalavryta
A magnificent loop descending near Patras, then returning to cross Mount Panachaiko and reach Kalavryta. Overnight at the same hotel and dinner again at the same village restaurant.
Day 5: Kalavryta–Foloi Forest–Ancient Olympia
A shorter stage, allowing enough time to visit Ancient Olympia (for those who wish) in the afternoon. Olympia is famous for being the birthplace of the Olympic Games nearly 3,000 years ago. The first Olympic Games dedicated to the god Zeus were held in 776 BC.
The entrance ticket is €12/person (not included in the price), and includes access to both the archaeological site and the museum located beside it. Foloi*: This forest is the largest oak forest in the Balkans. It stretches across a plateau on the southwestern slope of Mount Erymanthos, located 25 km from Olympia. It is one of the largest, rarest and most beautiful oak forests in Europe, covering 4,200 hectares. It is part of the NATURA 2000 programme due to its uniqueness and ecological, historical and cultural value, appreciated since antiquity. The trees reach between 20 m and 40 m in height.
Dinner and overnight at the Europa Ancient Olympia hotel, with swimming pool.
Day 6: Ancient Olympia–Temple of Apollo–Ancient Olympia
Subject to modifications
Heading towards and stopping at the village of Andritsaina. This picturesque village, built amphitheatre-style, is known for its traditional architecture, cobbled streets and historic fountain, “Trani Vrysi,” dating back to 1724. Not far from the village, we will visit the Temple of Apollo Epicurius at Bassae. Located in the Arcadian mountains, this temple is famous for its unique architecture combining Doric, Ionic and Corinthian styles, and for its isolation in a wild mountainous setting. It is also listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
In the afternoon, beautiful tracks lead us back to our hotel in Ancient Olympia. Dinner and overnight at the same hotel.
Day 7: Ancient Olympia–Lake Ladonas–Ksilokastro
Beautiful routes via Lake Ladonas and lunch break in Planitero, a village where a river flows among rapids and small waterfalls. Several trout farms line the river, where you can enjoy a pleasant meal by the water.
Departure towards Ksilokastro and check-in at our hotel. Our dinner will take place in a very good seaside restaurant.
